So, my dear lovely husband is in Anaheim this weekend helping plan this years Vidcon. The team had a grueling day of planning and then a late dinner at a fancy scmamcy restaurant as a reward.

After their lovely late dinner, they went out to the parking garage to find their rental car had been broken into and all their stuff had been stolen. The cops finally arrived at 1:00 am.

This, my friends, is why I moved away from California. Not that bad things don’t happen here too, but people have got your back. When someone does shit that is horrible, often you find out they just moved here. Like the kids from Texas last year who went around breaking into cars and vandalizing. It’s just a different mentality here. Community.

I had my car broken into in there broad daylight within 5 minutes of getting home and no one saw a thing. My neighbors car got bashed with baseball bats by kids from the block, and the parents denied it could be their kids. He had caught them red handed. No one has your back there. Every man for himself.

Especially if you’re driving a rental.
